General Business Meeting

October 10, 2014 – Corning, New York

The NYSASIC General Business Meeting was called to order by President Jack Welch (Orleans County) at 11:11 am in the Finger Lakes Ballroom, Radisson Hotel, Corning, New York.

The minutes of the May 2, 2014 General Business Meeting were reviewed and approved on a motion made by Amy Clute (Warren County), seconded by Beth Cheever (Jefferson County), passed.


A copy of the Treasurer’s Report was distributed to the group for review and a detailed report was given by Dixie Perkins (Wyoming County), Treasurer. Checking & Savings Balance as of 5/2/14 was $37,589.07. Total Revenue from 5/2/14 through 10/3/14 was $17,759.43. Total Expenses from 5/2/14 through 10/3/14 were $19,480.12. Total checking and savings balance as of 10/3/14 is $35,868.38.  The treasurer’s report was approved on a motion made by Paul Casey (Yates County), seconded by Colleen Capwell (Broome County), passed.


The 2015 NYSASIC Spring Conference will be held May 6-8, 2015 at the Doubletree by Hilton, 6301 State Route 298, East Syracuse, New York.


There is no old business.


Under new business, Amy Clute stated that there is nothing to report with regards to legislative bills.


Pamela Barton-UNYMWCP won the $25 gift card drawing for completed conference surveys.


The meeting was adjourned on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 11:15 am on a motion by Monica Farquhar-Brennan, seconded by Robert Chetney, passed.
